Minnesota is a state in the Upper Midwestern of the United States. The capital of Minnesota is Saint Paul. The largest city is Minneapolis. Over 3 million people live in the two cities which are separated by the Mississippi river. They are the known some times at the Twin Cities.

The state is some times called The North Star State, after the motto in the state’s coat of arms: L’toile du Nord, or The Gopher State, after the gopher, a species of chipmunk.The name comes from Sioux memory, water, and sota, sky how is blue, and many mor things.
