They are mammals.

They live in Australia and in Tasmania.

They are marsupials.

Habitat and food

The food they eat is native grasses such as the tussocky ‘ snow grass, wallaby grass and kangaroo grass.

They can not live in temperatures over 30 heat degrees, that would be too warm for them.

They are most active at night and sleeps when humans are awake.

They have to live where they can dig holes in the ground. (Sand, gravel, soil)

Their weight is about 20 – 35 kg.

Their height is about 1 meter.

They can run up to 40 km/h.

They are pregnant for 20 – 21 days.

When the baby’s are born they are 2 cm.


Facts

They can run as fast as a human.

Their teeth don’t stop growing.

Their poop is shaped like cubes.
